Democrat Caucus slated for Monday for House District 63

Democrats looking for a state rep candidate for the November election…

 

 

Democrats in State House District 63 are looking to fill the ballot for the November election.

A caucus to elect a candidate will be held Monday night in Jasper.  The seat is currently held by Republican State Representative Mike Braun of Jasper.

Interested candidates need to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the chairman of the caucus and the Indiana Election Division by 7-pm this Friday.  Only original signatures of potential candidates can be accepted so they must be received by mail or hand delivered.  A Statement of of Economic Interest with Principal Clerk of the Indiana House of Representatives is also required.

The caucus chair will be Anthony Long the Democrat Chair for the 8th District Central Committee.

To participate in the caucus and elected precint committee person must be living within District 63 while an appointed committee member must have been appointed 30 days prior to the caucus.

The caucus again is Monday at 7-pm at the Habig Center on St. Charles Street in Jasper.
