Conservation officers released details of an ATV accident from Saturday in Pike County. They report that at 8:49-pm, 10-year-old Jesse Catt and 12-year-old Remington Gideon of Petersburg were operating the ATV at County Road 227 West in Petersburg. The lost control while going downhill in gravel and slid off of the road and into a tree. After the crash, one of the boys walked to a nearby house for help but found no one there. They managed to flag down a passerby and use their phone for help. Both were taken to St. Mary’s in Evansville for minor injuries. Officers say the boys were not wearing helmets or protective gear.
