Payments can be mailed, made on the web, by phone or in person.
The first installment of property tax payments are due May 10th. That is one week from Monday. If your mailing your payment it must be postmarked on the 10th at the latest to avoid a penalty.
The Daviess County Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 4 and will be open NEXT Saturday, May 7th from 8 to noon for the convenience of taxpayers who can’t pay through the week.
Daviess County Treasurer, Elaine Wellman, says credit card payments can be made at the office or through gov tech tax pro dot com or call 844-678-1656. There is a fee on credit card transactions that the company charges. When paying in person be sure and bring your tax statement.
