Donald Trump speaks for about an hour at the ONB Plaza.

Yesterday an estimated 12,000 people jammed areas inside and outside Old National Events Plaza during Trump’s 58-minute speech.  The Evansville Courier and Press reports the crowd murmured excitedly in anticipation of his appearance, exploded when he walked onstage, laughed at his jokes and cheered— several times — when he called for a crackdown on illegal immigration.

Meanwhile an apparent reported planned appearance in Dubois County by GOP candidate Ted Cruz was aborted yesterday when the count airport could not accommodate the size of Cruz’s airplane.
