Washington’s City Engineer receives recognition

City Engineer Ed Barnett last week was given an award from the American Society of Civil Engineers.

 

 

 

Washington City Engineer, Ed Barnett (bar-net’) was recently honored with a Lifetime Membership Achievement Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers in Indiana.

Barnett received the award last week in a ceremony attended by Washington’s Mayor, Plan Commission President, Building Commissioner, Code Enforcement Officer and Client Administrator.

Barnett has been the city’s engineer for 30 years under 4 different Mayors.   He’s worked on projects which vary from sidewalk design to utility coordination to planning and zoning.

Barnett also serves on the Washington City Plan Commission and Downtown Review Committee.
