-Washington police report their officers and the US Marshal Task Force arrested Nathaniel Phillips at 6:16 last night.  The 19-year-old was wanted on  felony warrants for robbery with a firearm out of Hillsborough County, Florida.  State Police and the Martin County Sheriff’s Department along with their k9 unit “Asher” assisted in the arrest.-57-year-old Gerald Sturgeon of Washington was jailed for driving while suspended on Thursday.  Bond was set at $2000.

-38-year-old Kimberly N. Wagler, with an address in North port, Florida was arrested for theft and intimidation on Thursday.  The arrest was made by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.  Bond was set at $2500.

-More details were released by Washington Police concerning the arrest of 42-year-old Cedric Merrit of Washington which we reported yesterday.  He was arrested at 1:23am Thursday after his vehicle was stopped on West Old US Highway 50.  He was speeding and had a false plate according to polic.  Officer Case Cummings and the k9 unit “Diesel” performed what’s called a “free air sniff” search.  The dog hit on the presence of illegal narcotics.  That’s when Merrit was arrested for possession of meth over 5 grams, reckless possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.
