State Road 58 Closing Due to Bridge Replacement Project

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 58 near Freelandville for a bridge replacement project.

Beginning on or around March 21, Contractors will close S.R. 58 about 2 miles west of the intersection of S.R. 58/159 just outside of Freelandville. Contractors will be connecting the new alignment of the road to the existing alignment. Included is the removal of an existing bridge.

Work is expected to take until the end of April, weather permitting. Inclement weather could also delay the start of the project. During the project, local traffic will have access to the point of closure. Through traffic should use the official detour of S.R. 159, S.R. 67, S.R. 550 and U.S. 41.
