Police investigating counterfeit money reports….and an accident on 800-east

 

ACCIDENT

Authorities report a man on 800-east called the Sheriff’s Department to say a man was heard knocking on his door just before 6-am Sunday morning.  By the time the resident answered the door, there was no one there.  When authorities responded they came upon a red passenger vehicle in flipped over in a ditch on US 50-East just west of 800-east.  No one was around the vehicle.  They contacted the owner who said a grandson had been driving the vehicle.  The driver, 22-year-old Taylor Kavanaugh was located at the vehicle owne’s residence and told police he was on his cell phone when he crashed the vehicle.  He complained of pain and was taken to Daviess Community Hospital.

 


 

ARREST

-61-year—old Darrell Sullivan of Mount Vernon was arrested by the Washington Police Department on Sunday.  He was wanted on an out of county warrant. No bond was set.

 


 

COUNTERFEIT MONEY REPORTS

Local authorities are investing two reports of counterfeit bills in Daviess County from the weekend.

At 10:45 Sunday morning a caller told police a fake 100 dollar bill was found in the road at 14418 East National Highway.

At 10:30 last night, employees of Caseys in Elnora reported a customer gave them a counterfeit 50 dollar bill.  A description of the person was obtained.

Investigations into both incidents are underway.
