The United Way of Daviess County will have a new Executive Director this coming week.  United Way Board Chair Dusty Davis says Zella Taylor is a Certified Life Coach who recently moved to Daviess County from Indianapolis to be closer to family.

Taylor will take over for current director Brenda Sobecki upon her retirement at the end of next week.  Sobecki says she wishes she had discovered United Way 20 years ago and thanks all for their support during her tenure at the organization.

Taylor has an associate degree in business administration from Ivy Tech Community College and a BS from Saint Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute. After completing her bachelor’s, she changed career paths and went into non-profit work.  She advocated for women of domestic violence and was a skills development specialist for children in an elementary school setting.

Again, Taylor assumes her new job at the end of next week.
