Jo Arthur looks to retain her seat on the County Council

Daviess County Council member Jo Arthur has officially announced her candidacy to run for re-election to County Council At Large.  The Republican has been on the council since 2009.

She says over the past seven years the council has faced situations that posed financial concerns for the county and the members have worked together to resolve the issues.  She says she wants to continue to work to resolve issues and find the best way to meet the county’s financial needs in a responsible manner.

In addition the council, Arthur serves on the Daviess County Redevelopment Commission, the Daviess Community Hospital Board of Governors, the DCH Finance Committee and DCH Quality Committee.

She also serves as a board member of the Daviess County Partnership – Connections and the Daviess County Extension Board and is a member of the Jubilee Christmas gift committee.    Arthur graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in economics and did graduate work at Georgia Tech.
