A Vincennes Restaurant was damaged by fire overnight. The Vincennes Fire Department was called to the China Buffet at 2608 North Sixth Street around 11:30 pm.
Upon arrival, firefighters say heavy smoke was showing from a store building at the back of the building. The fire was put out in short order. Damage was estimated at 25-thousand dollars.
No injuries were reported.
An employee from Domino’s Pizza saw smoke coming from the building and called 9-1-1.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The State Fire Marshall’s office has been called in to assist determine the cause of the fire.
