Daviess County Democrats file for the 2016 election

Travis Linneweber files paperwork to run for County Council. His late Grandfather Max was the last candidate to serve as a Democrat on the Daviess County Council.

 

After working hard to solicit candidates for this year’s election, The Daviess County Democrat Party announced today six candidates are filing to run in this year’s primary on May 3rd.  That’s a record number for Daviess County which is primarily considered a Republican County.  Currently every county office is held by a Republican.

Daviess County Democrat Chair, Dave Crooks, took over the party’s leadership in the summer of 2014 and started re-organizing. He says after reaching out to to local residents, the community will have choices on the their General Election ballot this year…

The Democrat candidates include Travis Linnewebber, Mike Potts and Ron Critchlow for County Council-At Large, Mark Smith for County Commissioner in District 1, Rachel Sellers for County Recorder and Bill Harder for County Treasurer.
