Sherri Kaye Holt, 56, of Bloomington, formerly of Loogootee, passed away at 1:52 a.m. on January 21, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Born on February 23, 1959 in Jasper, Indiana she was the daughter of Richard and Margie (Street) Divine.
Sherri was a graduate of Loogootee High School and furthered her education by obtaining an A.S. degree from Vincennes University Jasper Center. She was most recently employed as Manager of the Loogootee McDonalds. She attended the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Sherri was outgoing and never met a stranger. She loved music, singing and had the voice of an angel.
She will always be loved and remembered by her parents, Margie and Richard of Loogootee; 3 sons, Damien Cooley of Maryland; Kevin “Kade” and Elizabeth Holt of Bloomington; Aaron Holt of Loogootee; grandma’s girls, Margot Kaye Holt, Jolene Cooley and Lenora Cooley.
2 sisters, Peggy and husband Craig Bullock of Loogootee; Beverly and husband Tony Roberts of Loogootee, two brothers, Richard Jr and wife Mary Divine of Freedom; and Rodney and wife Angie Divine of Washington; nieces; nephews; many friends; and her loyal companion SHOGO.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Rutherford Township South of Loogootee. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
