Washington School Board organizes for a new year

The Washington Community Schools Board of Education reorganized for the New Year on Monday. In a special meeting Monday, the board re-elected last year’s officers: Steve Frette as president, Pam Bartlett as vice-president, and Peg Stephens as secretary.  Frette and Stephens will hold the same positions on the School Corporations Board of Finance.   The Board also named Carie Alford as the system’s treasurer.  Regular meeting times for the board this year will at  7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.

During the Board of Finance portion of the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Dan Roach reported the school system had earned $28,992.11 in interest income over the past year.
