Dorothy R. Crouse, 88, of Washington, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on December 23, 2015 at Prairie Village.
She was born August 11, 1927 in Barr Township to the late John and Joann (Rainey) Hunter.
Dorothy was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Martin Altar Society and Retired Crane Women’s Club.
She loved Barr-Reeve and IU basketball, playing euchre and crafting.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (Juke) Crouse; infant son, Joseph Eugene Crouse, parents, John and Joann (Rainey) Hunter; siblings, Francis (Erestine) Hunter, Ethel (Joe) McCauley, Margaret (Odie) Morgan, Helen (Tom) Brown and Paul (Betty) Hunter; son-in-law, Glen Norris and brother-in-law, Earl Greenwell.
She is survived by her children, Betty Norris of Washington, Marsha (Tim) Titus of Cherry Hill, NJ., Janet (Kenny) Hembree of Montgomery, John Douglas Crouse of Washington and Barbara (Mike) Watt of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Jessica (Bryan) Veale of Washington, Ashley Norris of Indianapolis, Ben Titus of Maryland, Alex Titus of Cherry Hill, NJ., Sheena (Matt) Wagler of Odon, Evan (Sarah) Hembree of Washington, Meredith and Maddie Watt of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Eli and Charlotte Veale, Macey, Griffen and Brielle Wagler, Hattie Hembree and Adyen Watt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 9:00 until the time of service at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Barr-Reeve Scholarship Fund.
