Golda Mae Brothers, 87, Washington

Golda Mae Brothers, age 87, of Washington passed away at 3:21 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at her home.

She was born in Winslow on November 9, 1928 to Albert and Zella (Regal) Edrington. She retired as an office aid from HUD. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and St. Peter Altar Society. She loved growing roses and gardening.

She is survived by five daughters, Barbara Miller of Wausau, Carol (Joseph) Fink of Wisconsin, Sharon (Jim) Goul of Shoals, Theresa (Claude) Darde of France, and Marilyn (Gary) Pawluk of Minnesota; four sons, William (Debbi) Brothers of Washington, Glenn Brothers of Evansville, James M. (Genevieve) Brothers of Washington, and John (Susan) Brothers of Champaign, IL; twenty-three grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Gordon Brothers on March 21, 1997 whom she had married on November 15, 1947. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce (Gary) Pospychalla, and 7 brothers and sisters.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery with a rosary at 9:45 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
