CHRISTMAS PARADE POSTPONED

Washington’s Christmas parade for this evening has been postponed due to the wet weather.

Daviess County’s Christmas Parade of Lights will be next Saturday along the regular city parade route starting at 6.  That means you have another week to prepare to enter for a chance at winning cash prizes

There’ll be cash prizes awarded for best overall, best non profit, best commercial and best musical.  There are also trophies going to the winners. All entries have to be lighted accept for the musical entries.

Now, coming up this Thursday is the annual Christmas is in the Park at East Side Park.  There’s snacks and visits with Santa and carriage rides and more Thursday from 6 to

A Washington man was jailed on petition to revoke a suspended sentence on Friday.  34-year-old Pike M. Eller was incarcerated on a $5000 bond.

 

 

 


 

ATV HIT AND RUN NEAR BIRDSEYE

ATV CRASH IN DUBOIS COUNTY 112615

 

 

Indiana Conservation officers are seeking the public’s help in finding out more about an ATV hit and run crash that sent three boys to the hospital Thanksgiving Day in Dubois County.

DNR officials say the three were on Harts Gravel Road near Birdseye about 5:15 Thursday event.  The boys said a red truck drove up behind them while they were on the ATV and hit them and left the scene.

The ATV was operated by 15-year-old Maurice Campbell-Brown of Owensboro who lost control and headed down an embankment.  Passengers, 13-year-old Hunter Mendoza of Jasper and 12-year-old Catalina Mendoza of Birdseye, were ejected.  All three had non- life threatening injuries and were taken to Jasper’s Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.  Officers say protective gear was not in use.
