A report by banking group BMO Harris indicates that Indiana’s economy is one of the top in the Midwest, just slightly behind that of Illinois.

By the end of the year, it is expected that the Hoosier state’s economy will reach a 2.2 percent growth rate, which is significantly above that of last year, at about only 0.4 percent growth.

An expert with BMO Harris said the statistics show that employment and house pricing are currently exceeding the pre-recession levels.
