Mary E. Barmes, 73, of Vincennes, IN., passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Willow Manor Nursing Home.
She was born January 16, 1942 in Loogootee, IN to the late Austin and Regina (Norris) Crowder.
Mary loved butterflies and Scotty dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Regina (Norris) Crowder and granddaughter, Chandra Snyder.
Mary is survived by her sons, Tony (Rositta) Barmes of Littleton, CO., Eric (Nancy) Barmes of Virginia Beach, VA. and Jason Barmes of Vincennes, IN; daughter, Sherry (Rodney) Smith of Madison, IN; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Snyder and Katelin Barmes; 4 great-grandchild, Kindall, Colter and Kaleigh Yochum and Myah Green; brother, Earl (Vicky) Crowder of Shoals, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield, officiated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker. Burial will follow in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Martin Catholic Cemetery Fund.
