A Washington woman was jailed in Pike County following a traffic stop last night.  At approximately 11:20 p.m. on August 13, 2015 Central Dispatch received a call transferred from Daviess County dispatch. The caller advised there was a car traveling South bound on Hwy 57 from Daviess county driving all over the road with a green SUV following it. Petersburg Police Sgt McClellan and Officer Simmons started north bound on Hwy 57. They observed a black 4 door vehicle near IPL with a headlight out; as they turned around on the vehicle they observed the vehicle go left of center multiple times.

While speaking with the driver (identified as Heaven Berry) of the car Officer Simmons noticed the driver’s speech was slurred and she had poor manual dexterity. Heaven advised she didn’t have a driver’s license but she had her identification card. Officer Simmons asked Heaven why she was driving all over the road, she advised me her car was having problems and she was just trying to get it back to her friend’s house. Ms. Berry failed the FST’s and was placed under arrested for OVWI (Controlled Substance), and Possession of Controlled Substance. She is currently being held at the Pike County Jail on a $500.00 Cash Bond.
