Barr Reeve School Board approves teacher raises

The Barr Reeve School Board signed a contract with teachers this week giving the teachers a 6.4% raise.  It includes a 1.6% raise for teachers at the stop of the pay scale according to the Washington Times Herald.

The paper reports Barr Reeve has seen an enrollment increase in recent year and that along with school funding formula changes has put hundreds of thousands of extra dollars into the school system.  The system also has a reputation for keeping a good handle on their finances and avoiding unnecessary spending.
