The Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Yard Sale starts today at the Washington Free Methodist Church on Troy Road.
There’s items for every age group in the community and it’s all for a free will donation. The Yard sale runs today tomorrow and Friday from 8 to 6 and on Saturday from 8 to 3.
All the proceeds will go to the church’s participation in Operation Christmas Child. It’s the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. It’s one of the many ministries of Samaritan’s Purse. Operation Christmas Child, fills shoe boxes with small gifts to needy children around the world.
Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has collected and delivered more than 113 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in over 150 countries.
