School choice advocates are turning their attention from state legislatures to Congress. More than 100 parents and students rallied on Capitol Hill under the banner of PublicSchoolChoice-dot-org. The group is pushing for a wider range of public school options, especially charter and online schools, but including other innovations such as magnet schools and open enrollment policies. Indiana has been at the forefront of the school choice movement, with open enrollment, rapidly expanding charter schools, and a private school voucher program.
