Carl L. Howell, 76, of French Lick, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. at the Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
Born on March 31, 1939 in Dubois County, Indiana he was the son of the late Lewis E. and Grace Edna (Lagenour) Howell. He married Deloris Roach on October 30, 1960 in Martin County, Indiana.
Carl retired from the United States Postal Service, having been employed in Davenport, Iowa and Evansville, Indiana. He graduated from Shoals High School in 1957 and was formerly a Shriner. He attended the Hillham Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris of French Lick
2 sons, Kenneth Adrian Howell of Evansville and Daniel Ray Howell of Hillham.
1 granddaughter, Adriana Howell of Boston, MA.
1 brother, Dr. Ray Dean Howell of Coatsville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Carl Duane Howell in 1966 and brother Clarence Howell.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Emmons Ridge Cemetery.
