The new pool in Loogootee will hold it’s grand opening Friday night at 5-pm.
The Washington Time’s Herald quotes Mayor Noel Harty as saying that the it’ll be open that night until 9 or 10. There’ll be live music as part of the celebration.
The pool will be open seven days a week until school starts the first week of August. After that it’ll be open weekends through Labor Day and a few night time swims and pool parties in the evenings through Labor Day.
The newspaper says the city council Monday approved change orders Monday for some additional items and the total cost of the project was at nearly $557, 000.
