November ballot is set

The ballots are set for the November Municipal Election.  Tuesday was the deadline for anyone to file to run for city offices.

In Washington, voters will choose from three candidates to fill 2 City Council-At Large seats.  Democrat Incumbent Blake Chambers is running for re-election.  Republicans Jason Petty and Grant Stafford are also in the running.  Petty is currently filling out the term of Eric Bassler who left the council for his state senate seat.

For City Council District 5 there’ll be new face next year as councilman Jim Greene is not seeking re-election.  Republican Seairra Decker and Democrat Bill Walker are vying for that position.

Other than that, all other city offices and council positions are unopposed.

Elsewhere in the county 3 at large town council seats are up for grants in Elnora.  4 residents are running including, Jefferey Jerrels, Jesse Lee Emmons, Kevin Hostetter and Deanna Cullison.

In Odon, 3 are running for two town board seats.  James Riggins, Keith Ruhe and Charley Kreig are on that ballot.  Also Odon Clerk-Treasurer Beth Haseman faces a challenge from Heather Ruhe.

The Odon and Elnora elections are non-partisan.
