City government met Monday night…

The Washington City Council passed two ordinances on second reading at their Monday meeting.

The first ordinance allows for the expiration of unused variances granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals.  The second ordinance allows the Police Department to charge fees for copies of reports or other services.

The Board of Public Works and safety approved a change order to add more striping to the intersection of the U.S. 50 by-pass and Business 50 for the cost of $3,100.  The board also approved a consulting contract with VS Engineering for the installation of emergency vehicle preemption on traffic signals in the City of Washington.
