Indiana’s  Commissioner for higher education Teresa Lubbers stopped in Washington on her “College Success Tour” today.

She addressed the Daviess County Career Success Coalition,  a network of local organizations interested in increasing and building awareness of the importance of education beyond high school.       The coalition was recently recognized in Indianapolis as a College Success County for their work in getting more students to look at college or post high school training.

Lubbers says Daviess County’s success simply has to do with great leadership….

Lubbers stresses that post high school education of any kind is important.  She knows that a four year degree is not for everyone…

Lubbers added that it’s never too early to start career exploration.  She encourages students to look ahead to see what the community and market is going to need when they graduate high school.
