Charitable organizations in Daviess County seeking funding are encouraged to apply for the Daviess County Community Foundation 2015 Community Good grant cycle.

Foundation Director Mary Smith says it’s an open grant cycle and a  competitive process.  She says organizations should bring their best creative ideas forward.  Grants are normally given as one-time support of a project but may be considered for additional support. Applications must be completed online at the Foundation’s website and submitted by midnight on Monday, August 3rd.

Agencies and projects not eligible for funding include religious organizations for religious purposes, political parties or campaigns, programs to create an endowment or reduce debt.  Funding is not available for normal operating cost, capital campaigns, annual appeals or membership contributions. Also not eligible are travel requests for groups or individuals such as bands, sports teams, or school classes.

Questions and requests for grant application training should be directed to Mary Smith at 812-254-9354 or mary@daviesscommunityfoundation.org.
