Weekend police reports

  •           Southwest Medical Services were called to a Wright Street residence in Washington on Saturday.  A woman was reported to have hit her head and was bleeding.   She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes and Air Evac was also dispatched.

 

  •           A power pole was reported down behind a Northwest 11th Street residence on Sunday.  The call came in at 6:22-pm.  Crews were called and power was restored about 2 and  a half hours later.

 

  •           Police reports say a caller reported a van stolen on Saturday. The caller informed police Sunday they found the van on Highway 57 south in Washington.  2 stereos, 2 amps and a speaker were missing.  The investigation is continuing.

 

  •            The Washington Police department investigated complaints over the weekend of thefts at the lockers at WaterWorld of Washington.  No arrests have been made.

 

  •    A truck driver escaped uninjured when the 1988 Peterbuilt turned over at Highway 57 and 1500 north on Friday morning.       Accident reports state that 26-year-old Robert Gorman of Worthington was driving the truck being used to transport fertilizer north bound on Daviess County Road 1500 north at 8:25 on Saturday morning.  He reported his brakes failed as he approached the intersection with Highway 57.  The truck rolled over.  Gorman managed to get out before medical crews arrived and refused treatment at the scene.
