Vincennes University President, Dr. Richard Helton will be stepping down as of July 31st. Dr. Helton and his wife Cindy will be moving to Cleveland Ohio to be close to their daughter who is facing serious health issues.
A search committee will meet soon to begin the process of finding a replacement.
VU Board of Trustees Chairman, J.R. Gaylor called Helton a transformational leader in his 11 years as University President. Enrollment increased greatly under his tenure. At the end of the spring semester VU had a systemwide count of 19.000 students.
