The Daviess County Courthouse steps were full of praying people today on this 64th annual National Day of Prayer.
The local observance featured music from the New Hope Christian Church Praise Team and prayers for government, family, schools, media, law enforcement and much more. Local officials and pastors lead the crowd in praying.
Washington Mayor Joe Wellman read a proclamation, proclaiming today as a Day of Prayer in the city.
The theme for this year’s Day of Prayer is Lord hear our Cry inspired by the verse in First Kings 8:28
