Robert E. Henson

Robert E. Henson, 88, of Loogootee, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Poland, Indiana to the late Orville Graham and Nina Pearl (Randall) Henson on February 12, 1927.

Robert served in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran where he spent time in Germany. After the service he was a city bus driver in Lafayette, IN. He then was employed by ALCOA. He later worked for various apartment complexes as an apartment and property manager in Indianapolis and Kokomo, Indiana.

He was preceded in the death by his parents, Orville Graham and Nina Pearl (Randall) Henson; brothers, Franklin, Chester, Curtis and Kenneth Henson.

Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alma M. (Robbins) Henson; daughters, Charlotte Gasker of Tucson, AZ., Donna Munro of Hartland, MI., Elayne Henson of Westfield, IN. and Beverly Terrell of Shoals, IN; sister, Thelma Oehler of Brazil, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Loogootee United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Loogootee United Methodist Church.
